Mini Portfolio

 I chose these images to go together to make a mini portfolio type thing as they were the strongest and showed a wide range of skills. I need to incorporate a wider range of work from different subjects as most of it is fine art and I could also put some more comic book/ costume/ animation stuff into it

I really like this portfolio as it lets u search for the type of thing you're looking for by clicking on the boxes in the title box, and that shows and takes away tiles. The whole background is animated and changes each time you go on it to keep it interesting. It showcases the work well but doesn't tell you a lot about the artist.

This portfolio is really nicely spaced out, and not too busy whilst still displaying a wide range of work. The title font also matches the style of the work which links everything together. Overall it has a feeling of being effortless and simple and again, showcases the work really well. Not much is said about the artist, but these two still make good portfolios by showcasing their skills

This portfolio has a basic layout and is clean and simple-with the captions describing which category the work fits into whilst still being short and sweet, which I like. It is easy to navigate and works well in setting out what work is where, but doesn't really draw you in

The main focus is put on certain pieces of work by the size, allowing the artist to lead people round the website how they want and emphasis skills and pieces they want to be recognized or draw you in. It again doesn't tell you much about the artist

The pictures are given the same amount of space and similar colour pallets are put near each other so it complements each other and is easy to navigate with the menu at the side. It doesn't automatically tell you a lot about the artist

this portfolio has links to their instagram and social media accounts rather than having the work and is more run as a blog which is a different approach. It tells you more about the artist but not a lot about the work, so to me its not as successful

This one has links to articles and stuff rather than pictures which makes it far easier to look for things specifically. It doesn't show you any of the work upfront and there is little about the artist.

This shows the work really clearly and draws focus to that, letting it speak for itself. It tells you a little about the artist and is easy to navigate. Overall it works well

Another good example of the work being clearly laid out and links to stuff clearly accessible. It is easy to navigate is successful in showing you the work without shoving it in your face so forcefully

This has a rolling slide of the main featured work as well as a menu to other stuff and merch and the like. It is easy to navigate and works well at showing you the stuff the artist wants you to see

The work is split into sections and the overall layout complements the style of the work. It is easy to navigate and shows a wide range of work.



The work is the central focus, with the image changing and little text to showcase the work. It is harder to navigate, as it isn't automatically obvious, though this does mean the user spends more time looking at the site so it works in some sense?
